Pet Loss Support
The loss of a companion who gave us pure, unconditional love is a significant life event. Your feelings of grief may be very intense – be kind to yourself and know your feelings are normal and you are not alone. Our Caregiver Support Team offers grief services before and after your loss. Join our support group if you are struggling with any stage of the grieving process.
Do you have a friend that could use some pet loss support? Let them know about us. They do not have to be a patient of Bailey Mobile Veterinary Services to attend our group - everyone is welcome!
You do not have to bring anything, however some people choose to bring a picture of their pet to share with the group.
Sessions will be run by Liz Chaplin and/or Elizabeth Malone.
Dates, location, and times coming soon!
Veterinary and Clinic Staff Support
Sadly, too many veterinarians and members of their support staff struggle with their mental health, and too many have been lost to suicide already. Although there are international support groups such as Not One More Vet that are a great support for veterinarians, we feel it is important to do something for the animal care workers in her own community. These support groups are only open to veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and their support staff that struggle with the demands of the veterinary field. We ask that anything shared at these sessions remains confidential. Our hope is that these sessions will not only be an outlet for those that need someone to talk to, but also that the veterinary professionals in our community can build relationships with people from other clinics that they may not have met otherwise, which may lead to friendships and support outside of the group. After all, we are all a part of the same team working to do our best for the animals in our communities.
